Suzanne Gordon - Officer
Suzanne Gordon retired in 2012 as CIO at SAS Institute in Cary. She worked at SAS for 32 years, 10 years as CIO.
Suzanne is very active in Communities in Schools of Wake County serving on their board for over 10 years, she is presently serving her 3rd and last year as Chair of the CIS Wake Board. She also volunteers as a tutor/mentor. In addition, in order to help some of the young people she meets through CIS get jobs and job experience she founded a nonprofit called Gordon Services. www.gordonservices.org
Suzanne is a graduate of North Carolina State University with bachelor's degrees in math and computer science and a master's degree in statistics. She has always maintained close ties to the university. She is immediate past President of the Engineering Foundation Board at NC State. She has served on the Institute for Advance Analytics Board since its inception. She is also presently an Executive in Resident for IAA. Suzanne was also named as a Distinguished Alumni of both the College of Sciences (1999) and the College of Engineering (2018). She was inducted into the NC State Computer Science Hall of Fame in 2017.
